How has my editing improved? These are some before and afters from April this year: These are some before and after's from one of my last projects. What have I learned? The two tools that really changed my editing once I learned how to use them were the radial filter, and the tone curve. The most important thing that I learned through both experience and from tutorials, is that less is more; you do NOT need to touch every slider and use every tool to create a beautiful image. Sometimes all you do is adjust one or two things, other times you make some bigger changes and play around with some effects. The examples I have above are some of my more drastic edits, usually I have very slight changes between before and after. The goal is for it to look like the photo hasn't been edited at all (usually).
I have been trying to get a good robin photo since spring hit here. I finally found my chance when I was walking home one day. I was lucky enough to have my camera already out and set perfectly so all I had to do was wait and take the photo. This is the result and I am thrilled!
Some adorable photos I took of my riding instructor's puppy twist.
I took this photo on one of our field trips and once I edited it, I really loved it and just had to post it! Here in Terrace we see mountains every where we look and they have to be one of my favorite things about living here. I love the clouds around the tips that show how big and beautiful they really are.
All of these photos are of my horse and I at a horse show last week. My dad was the one who took the photos, however I edited them in lightroom. This was an excellent weekend and I am very thankful that my dad was able to capture some it. These photos were very well lit naturally so I just adjusted some exposure, and altered the colours to get the final result.
I was sitting in my room doing homework one evening and my sister yelled "Janae come quick and bring your camera!" My sister is naturally amazing at finding perfect pictures anywhere she goes, so when I heard that I came running. I love these photos because the moon and flock of birds gives them an almost spooky and eerie feel. I actually took these photos in black and white so I did very little editing.
