I chose this photo because I really liked the low light across the piano keys and the cool effect it gives. Because the focus of this field trip was interesting lighting, i thought this photo fit well. What I think worked in this photo was how the way the composition of the photo and the location of the window, made it a beautiful low-key style picture. I find the pattern of he keys and the angle of the camera draws the eyes in and the lighting of the photo makes it an interesting, yet simple photo. I also chose this photo because of the interesting lighting. I was very intrigued by the lamps in the cabins and took several photos of them however this was my favorite. Because the light gave off a very red light and the wood had red tones, the picture was very red so I made It black and white and I think that worked very well.
The rule of thirds composition makes this photo well set up and the light draws the eye straight to the focus of the photo but the boards in the back give it interest.

Reflection: Taking photos for this field trip was a challenge because our time limit meant that we did not stop for long anywhere to compose photos. Almost all of the photos I took in the moment, while walking, which resulted in more blurry photos, and photos that turned out darker, because I was unable to spend time adjusting settings. Despite this I thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would definitely do it again over a double block. Pattern/ Repetition Reflection: The challenges I stated above also prevented me from spending time focusing on good pattern photos. The lack of time required to compose pattern photos prevented me from taking the quality of photos I was hoping to get, however I managed to get a few that work well and I am happy with how they turned out considering the circumstance.
Reflection: I used A-f5.6, SS- 1/640s, and ISO400 to take these photos. I really liked the look of the yellow paint and I found that getting some pictures of the paint drops was easier than I expected, however I found getting enough light with the fast shutter speed and low ISO was really challenging. I ended up editing the photos to increase the light and exposure quite a bit. Reflection: Before I tried these photos I thought that the splash photos would be easier than the drop photos however these photos proved to be challenging. I am really happy with the final result however the duct tape in the beaker blocked out a lot o light and was hard to keep out of the shot, I cropped most of the tape out of each photo. I also had a hard time with the consistency of the paint because I didn't mix it enough. I used A-f5.6, SS- 1/200s and ISO 100 to take these photos.
What is Beauty? According to the dictionary beauty is " a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially the sight". I believe that beauty is how we see something and anything can be beautiful or aesthetically pleasing if we choose to look at it that way.
This photo was not planned at all when I took it. I just happened to be in the run in when the babies wandered in and I took as many photos as I could before they ran out again. To edit this photo I cropped it slightly to put the baby on the rule of thirds grid-line and adjusted the exposure a little bit. This cow had such beautiful eyes which is what I focused on when I took this photo. I chose not to crop it but adjusted the saturation and exposure slightly. This photo I cropped, adjusted the exposure, hue saturation, and light saturation.
Selection Tools Content Aware Clone Stamp and Healing Brush, Colourize B&W Extra Practice Photo By Silvia Grav Surrealism is art displaying dream-like images, created by the unconscious mind. It can be displayed through art such as, paintings, photography, dance, film and writing.
I chose this surrealism photo by Silvia Grav because I like the simplicity and beauty of it. Personally I am not a fan of many surrealism photos however this one captured my attention, the normality of the glass of water altered because of the image of the ocean within it is a beautiful yet simple example of surrealism.
